Learn what a BJD doll clothes set includes, how 1/8 BJD sizing works, and whether the Nommi Forest Kingdom outfit is right for your collection.
Quick Answer
A BJD doll clothes set is a collection of garments and accessories designed to fit a specific ball-jointed doll scale, such as 1/8 BJD. The Nommi Forest Kingdom set is a clothing-only release for NOMMI's 1/8 BJD dolls, so you'll need the doll separately.
Why Clothing-Only Sets Exist
Many BJD brands sell outfits separately from the doll itself. This lets collectors mix and match styles, expand their doll's wardrobe, and avoid paying for a second doll when they only want new clothes. The Nommi Forest Kingdom set follows this pattern: it's the clothing only, not the doll.
1/8 BJD Scale Explained
The '1/8' in 1/8 BJD refers to the scale relative to a real human. A 1/8 BJD doll stands about 22cm tall, which is a popular size for NOMMI's line. When you buy clothes for a 1/8 BJD, they're sized to fit that approximate height, so they won't fit other scales like 1/6 or 1/4.
BJD Doll Clothes FAQ
- What does a BJD doll clothes set include?
- Typically, it includes garments and accessories themed to the set — for Nommi Forest Kingdom, that means woodland-royalty pieces like capes, leafy crowns, and forest-themed items. Always check the product listing for the exact contents, as sets vary. Review the listing photos to see every piece included before you buy.
- Will the Nommi Forest Kingdom set fit my doll?
- It's designed for 1/8 BJD scale, which is about 22cm tall. If your doll is a NOMMI 1/8 BJD, it should fit. If your doll is a different scale, it likely won't fit properly. Measure your doll's height and compare it to the 1/8 BJD standard before purchasing.
- Do I need to buy the doll separately?
- Yes, this set is clothing only. You need a compatible 1/8 BJD doll to wear it. If you don't have one, look for a NOMMI 1/8 BJD doll to complete the look. Pair this set with a compatible doll to get the full Forest Kingdom look.
